Anyone know the current status of 16th Street Station? It has been used as a venue for various events in the recent past, judging by photos on the web.
New townhouses a block away from the station are selling for $700k - $750k. For that you get to live by a freeway (noise, pollution) and probably some street crime.
With those real estate prices, there are obviously people there who make high salaries. Seems like the old depot could be developed into a very interesting venue for this moderately wealthy neighborhood as long as the earthquake and structural issues could be addressed.
