2 man operation - of course it is expensive. That was the argument used by the Market St. Ry. in 1942 when it junked the Sacramento St. line for buses.

I find it difficult to grasp the author's complaint about the route map roughly inherited from the streetcar era. Overall fairly straight forward and time tested.

It is Manhattanization, dude. Plus so many levels of political corruption. Rose Pak transit expert extraordinaire.
