The warehouse and industrial growth of Las Vegas is a direct result of a low tax state next to one of the highest taxed ones. Industries are always looking to low cost solutions to doing business. As the ones in the LA basin look for new homes in Nevada, Las Vegas is the closest major metro area. So it makes sense that it is where the growth is. Just like the Reno/Sparks area to the SF Bay Area. The rest of Nevada, not so much.

I always wondered why no one tried to do a Las Vegas Fun Train like the Reno Fun Train. It seems like it could be just as successful.
