Are you sure?
My recollection is Fife did a deal with Tacoma which was followed by back slapping, warm hugs, and perhaps fluid exchanges by some involved from the way it sounded.
I don't think they ever claimed 684 ran in Fife, but made a loose connection to local history... logs, aroma of Tacoma, choo-choo's, history!... it's all related! I would have been more supportive if they had not given away the prime mover and generator.
I went and visited it a while back. Some local youth had the road blocked with their cars so I had to wait till they were done asserting their power over the public. Don't plan to revisit Fife any time soon.
