Fresno rarely gets significant earthquake shaking. Bakersfield - fairly often, and in 1952 pretty violent. How did the building survive '52?

Also note: the Fresno building was repurposed as the Amtrak station, replacing one that was kind of grungy and hard to access for those with movement issues (and BNSF wanted them out so they could use the building for other things). Bakersfield already has a perfectly cromulent Amtrak station, and the HSR station will be someplace else.
