The correct spelling is "Famoso."

This photo can also be seen on pg. 66 of Dill's "Southern Pacific's San Joaquin Valley Line." Guy Dunscomb is credited as the photographer.

The book's caption stated the date of the photo was March 1950 but considering that Dill has numerous dating errors in some of his books, this date probably should be taken with a grain of salt.
