Accidents are usually a combination of many factors including training. In the end it's up to the engineer to be alert and aware of his location and speed . If this was my first run with passengers on this new route common sense suggests I would go slower and pay careful attention to my location and speed. Thats my quasi-knowledgeable second guess. So Doc would you rehire with back pay this engineer and why ?
