According to the article, it wouldn't go down the Strip. It would run on Charleston Blvd. (which is at right angles to the Strip) and out to the suburbs. Sounds like a good idea for commuters.

The Monorail is a joke. It runs behind all the casinos, so its stations are a long walk to anywhere. It would have been great if it went to the airport, but apparently the taxi drivers (or the forces behind them) killed that idea.
