ATSF Hudson "Blue Goose"

The running gear here on ATSF 3460 (4-6-4 "Blue Goose") look especially impressive
for some reason. Photo caption says it's "new" so that explains why it's clean.

Did it really require hand oiling as shown, or is the man just a photo prop?

I notice a top speed similar to the UP FEF series... over 100 mph.
