Werner was a station on the Santa Fe, between Orwood and Bixler. Grade crossing collisions have occurred there in the past as well. Some San Joaquin trains were detoured between Martinez and Stockton via Sacramento. The collision didn't seem too severe, but apparently the truck leaked fuel and it devolved into a hazmat issue.
