Maybe if the class 1s pulled their heads out of their asses and actually tried to run a business instead of just trying to screw over the people they hire and their customers they could be competitive. No, let’s run our train 30mph under track speed to save fuel and hold our customers car hostage for a week because it’s not their scheduled service day and we missed their last one because there was no power available. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a trucking company trying to run off business. How about sending a load from southern California to Washington and then back to Southern California before sending it to its destination in Utah? Do trucking companies do that?
