My first thought was, ‘man those guys (authors) are young.’ Or maybe I’m old. Glad the universities are still producing some critical thinkers despite rumors to the contrary.

Now how about a similar discussion on the American nuclear fiasco. Why is the Hanford cleanup such a money pit that never ends? How did WA manage to botch construction of new plants? It’s like our planners and engineers don’t know what they are doing.

Do we have these fiascos because Americans are all bravado and bullsh*t and not careful thinkers and planners? Well, the Japanese, who are as meticulous as anyone were bitten badly by nuclear. But then their government has a strange cartel vibe that could produce such a stupid disaster. Maybe all governments everywhere suck?
