I've happened upon several discussion topics wherein you advocate scrapping as the solution for many motive-power items. Like David Dewey, I'd like to know more of your position on scrapping historic artifacts, or older motive power.
Historic artifacts help interpret our rich railroad history. Rebuilding or repowering older locomotives is cost-effective for the smaller shortline operation.
