I think I recognize that paragraph…
The tank cars you saw are primarily being stored. Freight movements are almost all to and from the freight depot on the far western edge of town and the bulk transload facility at Prineville Junction. Little to anything comes into Prineville itself anymore. The railroad has set itself up as a warehousing and distribution point for almost all of Central and Eastern Oregon, they handle a pretty wide variety of traffic.
