My mother's house has an alley behind it. People are always tossing those little green bags over the fences of her house and those of the rest of the neighbors.

A few years ago one lady would regularly walk her dog and studiously look the other way when it relieved itself on a neighbor's lawn. The neighbor caught her dog doing this one day and read the lady the riot act. It didn't help.

A few days later she was there again with her dog taking one. The neighbor lady in high dudgeon ran out, picked it up and smeared it in her face. That DID work.
