Tren de Soller

I rode this line a few years ago. Beautiful scenery and fascinating equipment. At Soller, a tram line using ancient cars takes you from the station down to the port. The island of Mallorca has other passenger trains as well, both electrified and a DMU-equipped branch line. The line to Soller is (oddly) 3-foot gauge; the other lines were also 3-foot, but were rebuilt several years ago to meter-gauge to make it easier to acquire new equipment.
