Regarding " ...ocean shipping industries ", there is very little that President Biden,Congress, or STB &/or Trust Busters can do about it, as almost all of them are Foreign - Flagged & owned, other than Matson, Alaska Marine Lines / Lynden and a few small barge outfits in Alaska & various U.S. inland waterways & rivers. During the Covid Pandemic many of the Trans - Ocean container shipping concerns were sharing each other's ships & port facilities, mostly for cost savings vs. running their own ships at 50% capacity. Currently these same Steamship Lines are finding that unloading a Post - Panamax ship of 5000 to 6000 TEU's at one port terminal is just too much for the available highway & railroad infrastructure to handle.
