The last bulldog nose locomotive built in the world was built in Australia by EMD licensee Clyde. It was CL17 later CLP10 model AT-26C built in 1970. Internally it is basically an SD40. This unit has been saved and is being restored to its as built configuration.

There are still several of these in use in Australia and some of the older previous models. One of the more interesting is the A and B classes from the railways in Victoria. They were double ended with a bulldog nose at each end.
