When the glowing fire embers are carried by the wind brush removal directly under and beside the bridge is a moot point. It's an interesting thread but the actual damage to structures may be far less than you think. If the bridges and tunnels are saved the damage to track could be as simple as tie replacement. BNSF will not tolerate north - south coast traffic routed via Denver for long.
