"Before the railroad operations in Tiburon came to an end, the Belvedere-Tiburon Landmarks Society sponsored five round trip excursion trains from Tiburon to San Rafael, two in 1961 and three in 1962. These events were great successes, with rail fans and locals filling four cars as they rode the route that, in some cases, went right by their houses. This photo from the Fred Codoni collection is the morning train on May 6, 1961."
