Thanks for sharing the Tiburon memories. Reminds me of a second-hand story I heard a long time ago (probably embellished a little) about an engine up on jacks in the shop there. Seems to me it was caused by an earthquake, but the engine ended up off the jacks and "on the next track over" according to the story teller.

I seem to remember this story originally being attributed to Ed Paulson, who I know worked in the shop for the Caspar, South Fork and Eastern (Caspar Lumber Co.), Santa Cruz Lumber Co., and later Roaring Camp, but I'm not sure if he ever worked for the NWP/SP.
