Lang? You're thinking small. How about to Acton or thereabouts, skipping the most restricted part of Soledad Canyon entirely? Might have to be a little picky about the south portal location to keep things on the surface across the fault zone that produced the 1971 San Fernando quake. Lang or even Acton should be well short of potential San Andreas complications.
