"July 24th, 2021, was a very historical day for the New Mexico Steam Locomotive & Railroad Historical Society. Former Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe 4-8-4 Steam Locomotive #2926 moved under her own power for the first time since 1954. The 20-year restoration of this 1944 Baldwin graduate all paid off when the drivers first turned on its own steam power.
