Sounds more like Tunnel 25, aka Newhall Tunnel, aka Sylmar Tunnel, aka San Fernando Tunnel. 6976 feet long, 0.7 percent grade within tunnel descending toward L.A. Grades of approximately 2 percent ascending toward the tunnel portals from both sides.
