The Yreka did attempt to store empty LPG tank cars last year. Unfortunately they did so without submitting CFR 240/242 documentation or preform any track inspections or track repairs before operating, after the line sat dormant for a number of years. In many areas the track was covered with brush, with berry bushes obscuring ranch crossings. The locomotive had a number of FRA defects that required repairs. The Yreka attempted to “hide” the tank cars near the Montage waste water treatment plant where there are hill sides on either side of the track. Once the FRA/CPUC were notified the cars were moved back to the Montage interchange tracks for the CORP to pick up.
Until the Yreka supplies their 217/240/242 and repair the track and locomotive defects I don’t see much happening... if you listen to Allen Brown he has big plans but most of it appears to be BS.
