I kinda think this may have been inspired by retaining wall and tunnel wall construction techniques.

So they really look like an anthill - something built by ants, bees, or wasps. Now just how to get them high enough for a Wiener TOD tower.

You could replace homeless tents on sidewalks with tiny squirt in place.

No termite problems here, but dunno about earthquakes.
