Same thing happened to the British Mandate after 1918. However, they were smarter than the US because they got out after only 10 years because domestic politics had gotten fed up. Even Alexander the Great had extreme difficulties in this region, and that was over 2,000 years ago.

And Last But Not Least: it was Trump, not Biden, who negotiated and settled for the terms of US withdrawal.
