If anyone is doubting the UP heritage of this car, here’s a simple solution. Type “Virginia & Truckee Railroad Facebook” into your favorite search engine. That should take you to the official FB page of the V&T. You do not need to have a FB account or be logged into the site. Scroll down to posts from around May or June of last year, you will find a picture of this UP CA-11 caboose in full UP paint arriving in Virginia City on the back of a truck. There is a follow up pic from maybe a month later of Ed putting the finishing touches on the paint job.
