I always thought a loop connecting the Blue and Gold lines would be good to connect with American River College and Sunrise Mall, but Citrus Heights and Orangevale is too low density and too conservative to support even a more robust bus service.

Another option would be to use the old spur east of the Sunrise Station to get over to the Sunrise Blvd bridge to cross the river, but getting through Fair Oaks would require some massive retaining walls.

But at this point ACE will probably get to Chico before SacRT even extends the Green Line across the river...
