Geary is a real conundrum. Muni refused to even put bellmouths in the utterly misdesigned Central Subway or prep for at least a transfer (clusterbleep) at Union Square. (Ya think anyone in the Richmond might want to go to Chase Center or the ballpark?) Muni has stonewalled rail on Geary for the half century I have lived out here.
One can only hope that they just pour Red paint and do the transit signal work so no more money is wasted on bogus RT where rail would be so much better. Of course, that all hangs on; will Muni ever learn to operate the Metro competently. Not betting the farm.
