I'm going to go one farther: why would ANY passenger care about on-time performance except at the stops they get on and off? The full timetable is nice for planning, but for real-time use not really (unless you're a train nut; yes, I know, it's THAT board).
BTW, you're right: no more pdf schedules at Amtrak web site. Somebody has decided (as for airlines) that a "personalized" schedule if better. That's recent. And it's too bad, for planning purposes. There's a time when offline is better.
