A Nostalgic View of The Santa Fe Harbor Sub in 1967

Here's a photo of Century Blvd. that was taken in 1967 from aboard a Los Angeles Airways helicopter. The view is looking east and, at the bottom of the photo, you can see the overpass being built next to Aviation Blvd. that lifted the ATSF Harbor Sub over Century Blvd. This will soon be part of a new Metro light rail line, currently under construction.

A recent Google aerial photo shows a HUGE construction project taking shape in the housing development north of Century Blvd that is shown on the left side of the 1967 photo. Does anyone know what this construction project is?
