Aside from armchair comments.... the documents and NCRA's reply to the NCRCo. makes for very interesting reading. The East/West Rail people had a "Mail Boxes Etc." address in Orange County and a Suite at 50 West Liberty in downtown Reno holding the shell document. The only face with that group was a Eureka attorney. These people (North Coast Railroad Co.) are spread out between Texas, Wyoming and Chicago. The only one with a face is the lawyer in Wyoming who specializes in senior affairs and life planning? It's ironic planning this filing came about during the past few months that the "Great Redwood Trail" deal was being finalized and nobody (except those on the inside) seemed to know about it. At least one "right winger" in Humboldt County seems to admit meeting with these filers and is trying to implicate the Wiyot Tribe and a Utah State Senator in the talks. It all sounds so familiar. East/West, North/South, I can't help but feel all these people are talking to each other making one last stand to slow down or stop the rail banking and the trail.
