Temecula is pure Red State, so any kind of "guvmint is horrible waste" story plays well, but as far as direct impacts and benefits of HSR or any other railroad they have no involvement. No rails are planned to go anywhere near them unless in some alternative universe an LA-SD extension using I-15 were to become real. That's probably more than 100 years (and some different technology) from now.
