"The Pelion Steam train - 28 kilometers of pure discovery from the village of Ano Lehona on the coast, south of the port city of Volos, to the mountain village of Milies in the heart of the Pelion Peninsula – start a magical journey along a unique route with the famous Pelion Steam Train.
The 20 km/h Pelion train is a narrow-gauge railway with a span of 600 mm and a partial up to 30 % slope along spectacular landscapes: through historical places, overland routes directly along the coastal road, through quaint mountain villages, olive groves past, over bridges and through tunnels and up the wooded mountains of Pelion with breathtaking views.
Since the 1990s two new diesel locomotives, externally designed as "steam locomotives", lovingly named "Trenaki" by locals, ensure regular transport of tourists to the museum."
