Once the rail is loaded onto one of the 4 sets of shuttle cars then a CCT train crew moves the cars from the dock to the plant where the cars are unloaded and then empties return to the dock and another string of cars is pulled to the plant and this operation would continue until the ship was unloaded with around 18 to 20 thousand tons of rail form the ship about 6 times a year. CCT also handled the spotting and pulling of the rail trains and air testing the outbound train for the UP to pull from the port.
