The heavier the train, the slower you tend to go uphill, because of low horsepower per ton to overcome the laws of gravity.
And then, depending on tons per operative brake, the trains go down the hill slow, to make sure that graviity doesn't take control of the train, instead of the hoghead running it...
They still pay the hoghead the "big money" mostly for being able to "stop the train"....
There are no more Super C's.... All of the PSR supertrains seem pretty slow these days...
