The CCT got about 2 miles of 2nd hand 112lb CWR during Ken Tinker’s time and then the owners decided to not provide any more 2nd hand CWR rail, it was put down in the Morada area.
The rest of the main track from Stockton to Lodi was rebuilt starting in 2004 from MP 1 to MP 14 with news ties ballast and a mix of 131 to 136 pound rail along with the rebuilding of every road crossing and all the mainline switches. The work was completed in 2006. The rail which was removed was either 70lb or 75lb some dating back to 1898.
