Leaving the urban hustle and bustle of Stockton in the rear view mirror, Traction Company teammates 2101 and 1501 gather speed, muscling twenty-one cars across the bucolic countryside.

Immediately after bridging over California State Route 99 by way of an overpass, the Central Valley Branch quickly enters a vast agricultural environment. From A&K Switch to Lodi Junction, a length of nearly nine railroad miles, countless cherry and walnut orchards along with grape vineyards border the tracks.
