On the eve of Thanksgiving, Traction Company 1501 storms northward through Morada with nearly fifty cars, all to feed the hungry customer base in Lodi. In approximately ninety feet the train will pass over the Mokelumne Aqueduct, a lengthy water pipeline system stretching from Pardee Dam in the foothills to the East Bay. Managed by the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD), most of the infrastructure of the sprawling pipeline is housed underground.
