Byron Cole & Ballard Terminal have been sued before by Seattle's BIKE NAZIS before, and the railroad is STILL THERE. Just a shame he has to spend his money to defend this deal; maybe he should Countersue for TEN times the amount the BIKE NAZIS do !!! This deal is likely the fault of Seattle DOT, as I'm sure Cole would NOT spend one thin dime on any pavement markings.
As background, the current BTRR tracks were in fact the Original mainline of GREAT NORTHERN Railway, entering Seattle from Everett in 1892 !!! The GN mainline curved to the East at Salmon Bay, running along the North side until, near the vicinity of today's Fred Meyer store, curving Southwest and crossing the bay on a drawbridge. Todays' BNSF mainline from the North crosses over the BTRR and Salmon Bay at Bridge 4 & Ballard Locks.
