There are already plans afoot to convert some or all of West Colton into intermodal. West Colton is situated outside of the insane asylum that DA George Gascon has made of Los Angeles County. Los Angeles Transportation Center (LATC) is probably not long for this world, at least in its present form. The thievery that has been profiled in the news media lies just east of LATC. LATC, also known as "The Shops" (from SP days when shop complexes were there), sits on valuable real estate that several parties have been frothing over to be repurposed for other uses.

The Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach will continue to be used, but trains will high tail it to the safety of West Colton in San Bernardino County where there is, for the present time at least, a District Attorney who is not a Democrat puppet, having his strings pulled by George Soros.
