Ah . . . memories.

I had no personal experience with being shot at on the SoLA branches, just one time on the outbound Anaheim Hauler, a couple miles north of Los Nietos. The bullet entered through the open cab windows on one side of an SW1500 and exited through the two layers of sheet metal on the other side.

The head man's response was a calm, "Yeah, they shoot at us along here sometimes." Yikes!
