Any employees working a BLE-represented craft position at the start of the action were permitted to keep working under the provisions of that CBA, and could continue working that day until their HOS expired, at which time they were relieved and sent home, and the engineer was replaced with a company officer having some engineer experience (typically, an RFofE, District RFofE or an Asst. RFofE).

As for me, I high-tailed it to southern British Columbia to chase, photograph and ride the CLCs, MLWs and a few GMDs on the Canadian Pacific.
