I agree there’s a need for this.
Probably not much freight traffic so it could run overnight.
Didn’t see article but I thought Calif Northern or who ever owns line didn’t want passenger trains…imposed extremely high cost of required insurance coverage imposed by railroad for special trains to race track made that impossible.
Also would take long time to get new passengers cars.
NIMBYS near row would probably file lawsuits
