No access between Kanasket and Lester on the west side due to it going through the Green River watershed (Tacoma's water source). There is a MOW road on both sides of the pass that has a locked gate ( the former part of the double track that was removed at the rebuilding of the Pass in the 90s) between West Easton and Martin and West Stampede and the high bridge east of Lester which is accessible off of the forest roads.
