Sullivan's Curve, just above Cajon Station, which originally had both E/B & W/B sidings; they were removed and double crossovers installed when Santa Fe went to CTC in 1972. Part of Cajon Station can be seen in the background, just below the Interstate 15 alignment. The line Amtrak train # 36 is traveling on was built in 1913 on a longer but less steep alignment than the original line with a 3% grade between Cajon and Summit.
