Its "spring forward and fall back", lol

Thanks Barry and Mike for the corrections and information! So its "spring forward and fall back". And I guess just calling the duplicate hours simply 'daylight' and 'standard' was just too easy for me to figure out, lol. As a Californian I have to admit that just staying on Arizona time year round would be smarter and easier.

I have heard that years ago, maybe the 1950's or early 1960's, that a lot of railroad companies hated daylight savings time and refused to print their public timetables, or change their public depot clocks when the time changed. Any truth or urban myth?

(More obscure questions i am researching are what times were used at Colton, CA by the California Southern (BNSF) and the Southern Pacific (UP) 8/1882-11/1883 before standard time. And what years that Baja California had different daylight savings dates than California. Both could have made it confusing to catch a train at those places! )

Again, thanks folks
Steve
