I miss Shortline Sammie; his posts were always a must - read for me. I met him several times, including the sad day when the Chehalis Western / CM& E Alco C - 415 was STUFFED AND MOUNTED at Dacca Park in Fife,WA. Dick was PISSED to have lost out on the bidding for this engine. He told me that he had a Alco prime mover " ready to install " in the rare & unique engine.
