Here's some news that flew under even my radar:
Santa Maria Valley 100, a Baldwin 2-8-2 built in 1926 for the Charles R. McCormick Lumber Company, has found a new home. In May 2022, the locomotive was trucked out of Garibaldi, Oregon, and a few days later, arrived at its new home in Nevada, where it was offloaded at Eastgate Siding and taken to Gold Hill to await restoration.
No. 100 is now the future Virginia & Truckee Railroad No. 30 (I've heard SP No. 1251 isn't getting restored because it exceeds the loading gauge imposed by Tunnel #4).
